The Victus Vandal is an incredibly unique bat. It’s a one-piece alloy that may have the lightest swing weight on the market.
You’ll find that it offers bat speed but doesn’t provide much in the way of weight behind the ball.
Our verdict on the Victus Vandal BBCOR 4.25
The Victus Vandal is another great bat. It is one of the lightest BBCOR bats on the market. It has a place among the best models on the market. However, with it having such a low swing weight, there are some legitimate concerns.
Some players told us that they felt like they had to change how they swing. Ultimately, a bat that requires you to significantly change your swing mechanics may not be the best option.
Build 4.0
This is a one-piece alloy model that has a composite end cap. Its ringless barrel design makes for a thinner, lighter bat.
Everything about this bat is focused on it being lightweight and providing great swing speed. The high-grade alloy offers solid durability.
Comfort 4.25
The Vandal is a bit awkward. It has soft, tacky grip tape that makes it feel great in a hitter’s hands. It also minimizes negative feedback on mishits.
With those two things in mind, you’d think this would grade out really well in comfort, but it just doesn’t.
That’s because the bat is extremely light. Some hitter’s even said that the bat was too light for their preference.
Vandal’s focus on making a lightweight bat may have gone too far. We noticed that players typically became dead pull hitters with this bat.
When we asked players to try out a power swing, they often said they felt like they had to change their approach and that the bat felt like there was no barrel behind it.
Durability 4.5
In all of the testing we’ve seen, we haven’t found any issues with the Vandal. It’s been able to live up to hundreds of swings without any problems. Durability doesn’t seem to be an issue at all.
Pop 4.0
The Vandal isn’t a power bat. It’s not end-loaded at all so it’s not going to help you generate power in the way that a heavier model would.
Victus put all of their time and effort into making this a lightweight model so that you can generate power through bat speed.
Generating bat speed is a great philosophy if you don’t already have a power swing in your arsenal.
The downfall to that is that it’s sort of an empty power. Generating bat speed without any weight behind your bat seems like artificial power.
This is a bat that will help you with hitting doubles, not towering homeruns.
Pricing 4.5
We’re happy to see that Victus has the buyer in mind. They offer a high-quality bat, but they only charge $350 for it.
That makes the Vandal a much more affordable option for players who want quality without paying the steep price tag of the ADV Hype, the Meta, etc.
Compared to other BBCOR bats
Here are a few alternatives to consider in comparison to the Victus Vandal. You can also check out our picks for the best BBCOR bats this year.
Victus Vandal vs. DeMarini Voodoo One
The DeMarini Voodoo One is a one-piece alloy model just like the Vandal. These two models are very different. The Vandal is a contact bat while the Voodoo One is a considered a balanced bat, but leans toward power.
That being said, the Voodoo One seems to offer outstanding control without sacrificing any power. The Vandal offers great control without offering much in the way of power.
The Voodoo One wins this one in a landslide. Anyone can use the Voodoo One while a power hitter would probably struggle to succeed at the same rate with a Victus Vandal in his hand.

Victus Vandal vs. Stinger Nuke
The Stinger Nuke is designed with the power hitter in mind. Because of that, it’s an end-loaded model that helps generate power. Once again, the Vandal is at the opposite end of the spectrum and focuses purely on a contact style.
The Nuke is also recognized for being incredibly comfortable in a hitter’s hand. The grip and taper are great, but it also offers a more natural feel than the Vandal.
The Stinger Nuke wins this battle pretty easily. It is more comfortable in the hitter’s hands. It also offers a more natural swing and provides more power. Finally, the Nuke is $120 less.
With the idea that the Nuke is cheaper and performs better, we’d opt for the Nuke over the Vandal.

Who is the Victus Vandal BBCOR best suited for?
This bat was definitely made for contact hitters. It’s a great option if you’re not going to focus on having much power. If you’re someone who likes to spray the ball all across the field, you should definitely consider the Victus Vandal.
This bat is also the perfect option for players who are struggling to handle fastballs. If you’re a player who is consistently behind on high heat, this may be something worth considering.
- Comfortable grip tape.
- Tacky grip tape.
- Great for contact hitters.
- Easy to generate bat speed.
- $350 is a reasonable price tag.
- Almost too light – some players feel it changes their swing.
- Lacks pop.
Conclusion
The Victus Vandal is a phenomenal bat if you’re a contact hitter. It’s something worth checking out if you’re struggling to keep up with fastballs. It’s an overall good bat.
We would recommend that you try it out in person before purchasing it. Some players have said that there’s something that’s just a bit off with the swing weight.
With that being such a concern, you should get a few swings in before making your final decision.
